Storage Engineer

– Get involved in challenging and varied work with daily exposure to different clients and projects;
– Maintain and develop the data storage infrastructure, including software defined storage solutions – Hyperconverged infrastructure.
– Be equipped with trust, tools and collaborating peers to lift top-notch Skaylink’s Private Cloud solutions to next level.
– With globally growing demand for hybrid/multi-cloud solutions, you will shift your exiting experience to modern approach and will deliver contemporary global hybrid cloud experiences to Skaylink clients – from SMB to biggest enterprises.

– Have several years of experience in working with storage solutions and technologies, both hardware & software solutions.
– Be familiar with virtualisation platforms such as VmWare, Hyper-V, and KVM.
– Be familiar with IT practices and processes in a data center operations.
– Have a practical experience with SAN, NAS and other storage concepts and infrastructure.
– Be experienced with NFS and CIFS sharing protocol.
– Have a general understanding on TCP/IP and Networking.
– Have a practical experience with Windows 2019, 2016, and Linux/UNIX or other server operating systems.
– Have a practical experience with monitoring solutions, such as: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix and etc.
– Be skilled with analytical thinking, understanding what responsibility is, and be goal-oriented.
– Just like us – you can’t get enough of open-source products, especially Linux.
– Can perform troubleshooting and L2/3 technical support through E-mail, Telephone, Chat, and Incident Tracking Tool.
– Can evaluate and assess new technologies, products and features and support the planning and implementation of international rollouts.

– Have experience with virtualisation platforms such as VmWare, Hyper-V, and KVM.
– Have possibility for on-call rotation for support coverage which includes weekends and holidays.
– Have a passion for automation topics.
– Are enthusiastic about new technologies such as NVMe All-Flash Storage Arrays.
– Can support in an agile CloudOps environment, and your goals are supported by efficient operational architecture as well as active lifecycle management and lean processes.
– Not only are proficient in English, but also can fluently talk in Lithuanian and/or German.

– A gross salary range from 2500 Eur/month to 4500 Eur/month.
– An ability to work in our amazing offices in different locations across Europe – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, Panevezys, Riga, Hamburg, Essen, Paderborn, Cologne, Regensburg, Garching, Munich, Jena, Kyiv, Lviv.
